Healthy Active Ageing Small Grants
 
Have you got an idea for improving healthy active ageing on the Gold Coast? Small grants are currently available! Applications close COB Friday 18th November 2011.

The Healthy Ageing Partnership Initiative (HAPI) are providing small grants to support community organisations to implement new, or improve current sustainable healthy active ageing initiatives across the Gold Coast. The proposed projects/initiatives can be used to strengthen current initiatives/services or address identified gaps for those over the age of 40 years.
 
Examples of initiatives could include (but not limited to):
  • Providing physical activity with a strength, balance or flexibility components for falls prevention
  • Supporting transport to a physical activity program
  • Implementation of a Steady Steps program
  • Provide a physical activity for a multicultural group within the community
  • Social connection through the provision of healthy cooking classes
  • Supporting the development or utilisation of community gardens
The Healthy Ageing Partnership Initiative (HAPI) are a group of government and non-government organisations who collaboratively plan and action evidence based healthy ageing and falls prevention initiatives across the Gold Coast.
