Have your say on the Oceanway:
The Gold Coast Oceanway is a 36 kilometre network
of shared use pathways between the New South Wales border and the Gold Coast
Seaway.
The Oceanway is presently made up of sections of paths that
have an alignment along the beachfront, while other sections are located on the
road verge.
Council voted (5 December 2011) to seek public
comment regarding planning for the proposed construction of a new Tugun to
Bilinga section of Oceanway.
Council also voted to investigate options for:
- the
construction of a dedicated bicycle lane on the western side of Golden Four
Drive
- the
construction of a dedicated bicycle lane on the eastern side of Golden Four
Drive
- provision of public access to public land between
private property and the seawall boundaries through the removal of any existing
encroachments on public land
