Hey Gold Coast! This is the challenge that you have all been waiting for...

Choose Your Own Physical Activity Adventure is a new and exciting Gold Coast event held during Get Active Gold Coast Month. This Adventure is designed to challenge people on the Gold Coast to engage in physical activity for the month of July. You can participate as an individual, or get some friends together to register as a team, school or workplace.  Community groups and schools can even use this Adventure as a fundraising event.

To participate simply:
  • Go to the Choose Your Own Physical Activity Adventure page,
  • Click "enter online" in the "Choose Your Own Physical Activity Challenge"
  • Enter your username and password (or register on the website to gain access if you haven't got one already)

Select a destination from the list provided, then engage in physical activity of your choice (walk, cycle, pilates etc.) around your local area. The distances that you travel are collated in the supplied log sheet until the goal destination is reached. There is a 'physical activity conversion table' available for you to convert activities into distances. You have reached your destination when the kilometers (km's) recorded in your log sheet reaches the kilometers of the goal destination. Once you have reached your goal, return to the Choose Your Own Physical Activity Adventure page and let us know so we can reward you!

Teams: Team captain registers the team for the Adventure, and collates members distances.
Schools: Teacher registers class or school for the Adventure, and collates students distances.
Workplaces: Workplace captain registers the workplace team, and collates members distances.

You have from the 1st July, until Midnight the 31st of July 2011 to complete your Physical Activity Adventure!

How much activity should I do?
