The Gold Coast community have a large variety of activities on offer so you are bound to find something that you will enjoy!
 
Participating in physical activity within your community will not only maintain your physical health and independance, but you will also have some fun, make some new friends, and have a laugh!

Here are some activity ideas to search for that improve strength, balance, flexibility or endurance (or a mix of these things!) 
 
Tai Chi:
Is an excellent activity for improving balance and strength and can also reduce muscle stiffness, improve circulation and ease tension.
"I was a little nervous about going to a class on my own, but I am so happy I got up the courage to go. The classes are fun, and I have met lots of new friends!"
 
Heartmoves:
Is a great way of getting back into exercise again, or starting for the first time. Trained leaders will show you how to complete easy and enjoyable exercises which don't strain your body.
 
Fit and Fabulous Over 50's:
Gentle group exercise session developed to improve posture, balance and strength.
 
Steady Steps:
10 week gentle exercise program which incorporates practical information on how to minimise your risk of having a fall.
   
Health Ventures
Classes include exercises for strength, balance, flexibility and heart health. Suitable for beginners and those who are unfit, lacking in confidence or with existing chronic conditions. 
 
   
Life Ball
Lifeball is a fun team game played at a walking pace by 50+ age group. It is similar to netball and basketball and incorporates activities such as walking, passing, throwing to encourage physical movement and team work. Lifeball is a thinking game designed for skill, fun and fitness.
