Active Travel
 
Active Travel is a physical activity approach to transport and travel. It is a great way to look after your health and the environment. So leave your car at home and choose walking, cycling, skateboarding, rollarblading or public transport (just to name a few!!) to help you get up and get active!

TravelSmart is a voluntary behaviour change program that encourages people to use sustainable travel modes such as public transport, walking, cycling and carpooling rather than single occupancy travel in a car.
The TravelSmart program raises awareness of, and provides information about, sustainable transport. It runs sub-programs for workplaces, schools and communities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Councils Active Travel Program offers activities, incentives, resources and forums to benefit everyone in the community.  The program aims to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle through the development of an integrated walking, cycling and public transport route network. Linking people to places; helping the Gold Coast  to get up, get out... get active by incorporating active travel into your daily life for school, work, shopping and play.
