Early childhood settings can develop good habits in young children and positively influence the behaviours of children and families. Together, early childhood educators and carers can make being active an easy option for children.
 
It is recommended that children participate in a minimum of three hours of physical activity a day depending on their age. The following resources have been developed to help educators, parents, and carers to engage children in active play. The resources can be utilised within early childhood settings or home environments.
 
Move Baby Move - Baby
Is designed to help early childhood educators and parents incorporate safe, active movements into a baby's daily routines.
Active Alphabet - Toddler
Is designed to help early childhood educators, parents, and toddlers to learn and incorporate basic active movement skills in a fun and exciting way.
Let's Get Moving - Pre-schooler
This booklet is designed to help early childhood educators, parents and 
pre-school age children incorporate active movement skills whilst teaching parents and educators the importance of movement.
Provides practical information and advice on early childhood healthy eating and physical activity; how to develop nutrition and physical activity policies; and ways to support and encourage staff, carers and families.
Provides practical examples and ideas for indoor and outdoor play, group and individual play, structured and unstructured play and age-specific play within an early childhood centre.
Provides families with practical information and advice to support healthy eating and encourage physical activity in the home environment.

Provides a number of easy to read brochures on specific areas of physcial activity and healthy eating within the home and early childhood education and care settings.

Provides a step-by-step guide with easily understood forms, checklists, visioning scripts, action plans and diagrams to assist early childhood centres  plan and implement physical activity and healthy eating actions/projects.
